As if things are not hard enough right now the forecast for our area over the next few days isn’t good.

Preparations are underway for potential flooding in our borough. It’s only about 15 months since our area was last flooded.

Personally we were not directly affected but many people we knew were. This is the one time I am keeping my fingers crossed that the forecast is wrong. I really hope and pray that peoples homes are not affected by flooding and that all my fellow diners stay safe 😢

Flooding is terrible. I’m lucky in that I live on the hillside and have never been flooded but we frequently have severe flood warnings in place in the valley where I live. They’ve just completed flood prevention work which has taken 5 years. Fingers crossed that it works and homes and businesses that have so badly been affected in recent years are spared. 🤞🏻
