Epcot tier changes?

We’ve booked it as tier 2 (modified from mission space thanks to previous thread) for 6th August.

I've booked it for the 29th Aug. I hadn't given it a thought at the time. I've also got frozen after too. Frozen is my teir 1 fast pass.

I emailed Disney to query it and here’s the response I got:

At this time, Meet Disney Pals at the Epcot Character Spot is not shifting from tier one to the tier two slot when booking FastPass+ selections. There was a moment, where it shifted from the first tier to the other, however; this was not intended. There is no speculated change, we foresee, but everything has the option to change without notice.

Over the past year this has been up and down between tier 1 and 2 like a fiddler's elbow. It changed last summer too.
