How far in advance to book flights?

Rang the Virgin travel store this morning and it would appear that Easter 2003 is as far in advance as you can book a fly drive at the moment.

That is because the virgin brochure only goes up to March 2003.

When the next virgin brochure comes out around May/June then you will be able to book a fly drive.

By that time of course you should also be able to get bookings through other companies such as Expedia etc.

If anyone else does find any sites where you can book for Aug 2003 I would be greatful if they would post the deatails

Hi everyone I have found you all at last, thanks to Tim for letting me know.

One word of warning on booking flights only, if you are planning to travel in or around school holidays you can only book 11 months in advance and they sell out really fast. In fact a friend of mine (he wanted to include the October half term) phoned up exactly 11 months to the day that he wished to return and found that all the outward-bound flights had sold out. He was told that many people ring and book Outward bound flights exactly 11 months in advance and then ring back in 14 days and book the return flights!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
