August 7 days in New York- The 3 of us Day 6,7 and 8
Putting 6,7 and 8 up together as 6 was a quiet day and 8 is travel day and for some reason I have no photos from the last day.
Not out of the hotel until 10. Had breakfast near Times square at Cosmic diner. Went to the Matinee of Book of Mormon it was hilarious. Came out and went shopping in Pandora spending some dollars that my work mates had given me for my 50th We just spent the evening exploring and ate sandwiches from Panera Bread. Day 7 Up early so we could go get breakfast at Ellen's stardust diner. It had to be done, it was really tasty From here we wandered down to Tiffanys as I wanted to treat the teens. We spent the day just wandering the city, went over to the high line area but did not walk the high line. Excuse to go back ? We had Shake shack for tea and then went to use the Harbour lights cruise voucher from the City pass. Loved this cruise, down the Hudson as the sun was setting. Back to the hotel for 10.30 😴😴 Day 8 Up early to pack and then left cases with Bell services. Cannot remember where we stopped for breakfast but we used the subway to get to the Natural history museum. We walked down to times square after and had a really nice meal in John's pizza. Molly went back to Sephora for more make up and Luke went and got some jeans from American eagle. Headed back to the hotel to get the cases and a cab back to jfk. Had a wonderful driver who told us about himself and his family and told us about the areas we where driving through. No problems through security and arrived back safely to a wet Manchester. Had a fantastic time and would love to go again as more still to see but other places await 😁 maybe do a stopover sometime. Edited at 04:17 PM. |

Great report thank you... I am thinking about the harbour cruise too did you use the subway to travel to and from the departure point... probably being really silly but feel a bit nervous about using subway at night?

We just walked, there and back, think it went from pier 83, it was next to the intrepid. Only really used the subway to and from the South of Manhattan.
Never felt unsafe, just use the same caution as you would over here.

I booked through Expedia when there was a room sale on so I got a really good deal.
Check if the hotel you want to stay at has surcharges, some of them are a lot extra per night payable at the hotel. Have a look at the passes and buy the one suited to the things you want to do. City Pass worked great for us. It is a fantastic city to visit, hope you get there 😀
