DLP tips , strategies , assistance ?

Morning all
Been to DLP a few times but not for about 6 years

What’s changed ?
What tips do you have ?
What strategies for getting on the most rides - eg what ride to do first , what to fast pass etc
It’s the first time since my DD got her eating disorder - is there anywhere that shows menus , even for the self service / snack places so we can do a little planning in advance ?
I’m hoping DD ( and DS for that matter ) will be ok in the queues ( we are going midweek in June so should be relatively quiet ) but if she is struggling with her anxiety , is there any help we can get for her ?
Thanks for any suggestions

There are various menus here:

dlptownsquare/restaurant-menus/

Do bear in mind that DLP quick service locations aren't always open, so try not to get your heart set on a particular location and have a back up in case the one you want is closed when you arrive.

In terms of planning - first question is, are you staying onsite? If so that will give you access to Extra Magic Time - meaning you can get a lot of the busiest rides done with little to no wait.

Lots has changed in six years - there is a new parade and night time fireworks/projection show, new Ratatouille Ride. Also don't miss Mickey and the Magician show in the Studios.

Depending on when in June you go it may still be Marvel season with lots of extra shows and character meets.

Download two apps to help whilst you are there - the first being the Disneyland app for queue times, which restaurants are open etc. The second is called 'Lineberty' and you need this to book some character meet and greets in the Studios park only.

If you plan on having any table or buffet service meals it is recommended you made a reservation. Even if you amend the plans or cancel later, it means you have a fall back - even at quiet times you can get turned away from restaurants or face a wait for a table.

Hope that helps.

Thanks a lot
We aren't staying onsite but do have EMH as we have got the relevant grade of annual pass as we are going again early next year hopefully

Unfortunately we miss both the Marvel and the Lion King - our stay is in the middle 😥
Thanks a lot for the app advice
does the park have free WIFI ?

Do you have any advice re ride order at all ? I've what to do at park opening ( does it open early) and what to fast pass ? I recall crush coaster being the ' run to' ride last time

I believe they have rolled out free wifi in the parks now, but not 100% as I just use data now there are no roaming charges in the EU.

If you have extra magic time then definitely make use of that, the Disneyland Park gates will open at 8am ready for EMT 8.30am and the Studios usually opens just before 8.30am.

Crush is the one to head to first in Studios, I would then do the rides in Toy Story Land and pick up a Ratatouille fastpass - whilst waiting for that fastpass time slot go for Tower of Terror. In the Disneyland Park I would do either Big Thunder Mountain or Peter Pan straight away (and fastpass the one you didn’t do once the fastpasses are available at 10am).

Then do Buzz and Space Mountain in Discoveryland.

Here are the rides open in June for EMT. Hope that helps.

Sorry not been back on but thank you so much for the info
Somehow I had missed that there was EMT at the studios park

Does anyone have any further tips, especially re assistance if my DD gets over anxious - I think reading a post about Florida someone suggested that DLP were much stricter / required evidenc - if someone could point me in the general direction as to what would be required and if we qualified, what help that would give us, that would be great

I know DD especially wont be able to do both late nights and early mornings , we are off site about 15 mins drive away - what are suggestions from people to do as an afternoon chill time away from the parks ?

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but there’s a list of documentation required on here. I used the link for mental and cognitive disabilities, as nothing else seemed to fit anxiety disorders.

As you are offsite can I suggest you pop to the Auchan supermarket in Val d’Europe so you can get food you know your daughter will eat?

Elodie - thanks a lot for the link. Thankfully I have time left to get a letter off our GP , so that's on my list to do - just a bit of help in the parks could come in useful

Gill - thanks for that , searching for nearby supermarkets was on my list and you have saved me the trouble . we are taking a mini fridge with us to enable us to keep some of her regular stuff fresh with us

Does anyone know if they still do sandwiches at the train station by Disney ? My son bizarrely won't have " home made " butties , but will have shop bought ones ( subject to filling) if bought on the same day as they are eaten ! I have a strange family lol
