Portofino bay

Have spent one nighters at hrh & rpr previously.

Portofino was by far the best universal experience ever.
I preferred the resort over the parks.
The staff were all lovely, food & drinks in club lounge and bar were superb.

I have absolutely no desire to return to ioa/us but would happily return to this resort.
It was beautiful & thoroughly enjoyed the water taxis too.

We still need to book a night at Universal, we did club level at HRH last time and I was really impressed. Is Portofino that much better?

I have stayed at Portofino and RPR. I think Portofino has better rooms and bathrooms, but I prefer RPR. It is a nice easy walk to the parks, but from Portofino it is a bit too much for me in Florida sun. We also had some shocking service issues at Portofino.

Great to hear! We’ve booked a one night “mini break” from our villa at PBH over Christmas. We’ve done HRH previously and wanted something different this time. My youngest DS isn’t that fussed on rides yet so I expect I’ll be spending some time just enjoying the resort with him whilst the others make the most of the express passes!

Couldn’t agree more. You really do get what you pay for at this resort!

Agree - Portofino is the best of the Universal hotels. RPR and Hard Rock are great but it is better for a number of reasons.

Clearly it's all personal taste-
but we much preferred it to hrh.

Great to hear more positive feedback on the Portofino, we’ve got 4 nights club level booked for our trip later this year. It will be our first time staying here, having previously stayed twice at the RPR, which we loved. Really looking forward to it!

HRH is my favourite hotel but I was impressed with PB when we stayed two years ago. The food offerings in the club lounge are more substantial than HRH & there’s a lovely peaceful vibe at the hotel.

I’m hoping it’s the same when we return this August.
