Jo, I've also booked Yacht Club for daughters and I (I used to shop from you and we 'met' via UKS!) August next year - so excited!

We had a similar issue a couple of years ago, there was one day within our 2 weeks that the Beach Club had no availability so we booked the Yacht Club instead.

I would check week in, week out to see if there was any new availability to no avail despite there being availability if you checked on the US Disney site. I queried with WDTC on the phone about this and was told that they were "2 different inventories" and separate booking systems so still no good for swapping.

Then about 6 weeks out from our departure date there was loads of availability at the Beach Club for our dates. It looks like at that point they managed to transfer over some of the free rooms from the US system to the UK one.

I called up WDTC and got them to transfer our booking to the Beach Club. Cost us about £30 due to the difference in prices of the rooms (probably to do with difference in exchange rates from when originally booking YC) but worth it as we really do prefer the Beach Club.
