It’s a bit sunny here today but only 17 and it looks like rain the next few days. It’s going to be winter soon and we’ve had no summer!

Looking today at my Facebook memories from the last 11 years and from experience as it’s our 22nd wedding anniversary Friday ( wedding day and honeymoon was a wash out and typically rains every year with last year an exception ) this is typical for June so nothing new. It will pick up at the beginning of July .

We had a beautiful summer this year. It was about 5 weeks ago, one Saturday morning. Did you miss it?

This is how I like it!

We live 2 floors up in a stiflingly hot flat with no garden. In the winter it is great, we hardly ever put the heating on. But in the summer it is unbearable. Last year from May to October we had fans blaring in every room and even the simplest task would have you covered in sweat.

We have already had two uncomfortably hot periods this year. I am happy with this thanks!

Definitely no summer in Manchester. It’s grey and damp. Last summer seems a distant memory☀️

I feel I am to blame :
1) I bought a hammock
2) I have been doing up my garden in preparation for spending summer sitting out there.
3) I have just been given a gas BBQ for a birthday present.
My apologies to you all

Look at my countdown. You are almost guaranteed a heatwave for the 2 weeks I am away.

Seeing as you’ve just fessed up to this me and probably others hold you fully accountable

If the weathers rubbish now even though it’s made my garden look like a jungle and my hair look a hot mess with the damp and humidity I will take it as we have two staycation holidays booked this summer , hoping for weather like last summer ... so do your worst now and bring on the real summer from next month lol... I actually don’t like it too hot but whilst away we have pools and hot tubs so I’ll grin and bare it
