Illuminations Cruise -forgot to call AGAIN

It's 90 days out from our trip and I am supposed to be ringing each day to try and get an Illuminations Cruise - it's Day 3 of being able to try and I have forgotten to ring everyday!

How annoying!  I even have a post-it note on my PC saying,  Don't forget to ring at Noon,  and looky here it's nearly 2pm and I forgot to ring.

Don't panic Bev,  I phoned just three weeks before our trip last month and managed to get a cancellation cruise.  Without sharing too.

All I did was phone constantly for about a week!!!!  See - easy peasy!

I just called and I got one!!!! I can't believe it.
It's nearly 2pm and she had one boat left from the Yacht and Beach club.

So, anyone want to share a boat trip?

How much does it cost and what exactly is involved?

it's a boat trip around the lake at Epcot, culminating in viewing the Illuminations from the boat.  I haven't done it before so I don't know exactly what happens, but everyone who has done it raves about it.

The boat costs $120 and can seat 12 people,  I'm hoping to get around 9 or 10 people so that the cost would be around $12 per person (plus tax and tip...)

So, you have booked it..is it up to you now to fill the boat with the outstanding number?  or do they put the next caller for that date in the boat with you?  Could you end up paying $120 for the boat if it wasn't filled?

It's my boat to fill if I want - we could just go with the 3 of us,  but it's a bit pricey and it wouldn't be so much fun.

I have to pay the $120 but I can cancel it up to the day before, I don't think I will have any trouble filling it, if I post it on the US trip planning board, but I thought I would give the UK Disers the chance first, as it would be more fun to share with people that I 'know'.

Thanks for the compliment - you're not pestering me at all - I'm just glad to have boards that are working again.

I really must stop reading them though and go and do some work!
