Trash the Dress session?
Hi all
I married in WDW in 2007 and have always wanted to do a Trash the Dress session. I provisionally have one booked with Misty Miotto as have seen examples of her Trash the Dress sessions and they are wonderful. I wondered if anyone on these boards have done it or would consider it? I intend to buy a new tiara as I wasn't too happy with my one and my hair will be a lot longer than it was at my wedding (had a haircut a week before and was devestated at how short they cut it!). I am really lookign forward to wearing my dress again and having this photo shoot, but wondered what other people thought of this trend. I have seen some wonderful photos of these sessions.

Trash the dress is basically a photo shoot with you and hubby in your wedding gear but maybe taken in water, fountains, sea etc. I have seen some in lagoons, fields, lakes, mud and even normal streets. Poses are not your usual wedding poses and basically allow for trashing your dress. There are wonderful examples on the internet.

We are thinking of doing this when we renew our vows in Antigua in June. Luckily the photographer has said we can make up our mind once we're there. I'm a bit dubious as I wanted to wear the dress to a meal in the evening though.

I don't see it as ruining it really, I mean it might get wet or a bit dirty, but my dress was really bad at the bottom after getting pics at The Grand Floridian beach, not to mention the MK photo shoot! I don't intend to keep my wedding dress to hand down as styles change. I actually had my dress up for sale at a local wedding shop but it hasn't sold yet so I thought I might as well take it back and make use of it

LOL, yup MK shoot. One pic is my siggie pic but I do have loads more. I am currently in the process of getting all my TR together on this board and I expect to have all the wedding pics and MK photo shoot pics up this week. I couldn't get over with how many pics I got in total from Randy and the MK shoot. Well worth it imo.

We did indeed! It was an experience to remember!
I used to frequent the DIS a lot but the moderation over on the wedding boards got to be a bit too much. There was also a lot of arguments behind the scenes. I have posted the majority of my TR over there but I haven't completed it yet, as you can see I write really long parts, LOL, so it does take me a while to write all the details. I have actually been told to publish it (was thinking about doing this for myself anyway) it would be a great memento.
