You can use a baby duvet and pillow from 12 months. If you baby won’t tolerate gro
Bags / sleeping bags then I’m guessing you’ve got no alternative. Might be worth a try if a diff type of bag, as in we have some that zip at the side And some at the front. As George sleeps on his side he prefers the front zip ones. He’s 21 months and still in his cot bed, the grobags stop him from climbing out (for now anyway). |

Thanks everyone. I think I may try a different sort. Her current ones are side ziped but she does sleep on her side so maybe a front zip. Thanks xx

I’m pretty sure that it’s ok from 12 months - some people end up putting their children in toddler beds around that time anyway because they work out how to climb out of the cot, so presumably they must be using a duvet then. My 14 month old ends up sleeping in loads of different positions during the night, nowhere near where I put him down, so I don’t think he’s ready to be out of a sleeping bag (my old child was 2.5 when she got a duvet), but every baby is different.
