Have I been hacked

I have a desktop Windows XP I do not use it very often but my printer is connected to it, the last couple of days it has been very slow I cannot do a malwarebytes scan after 6 hours I cancelled it. I went into Add & Remove to see if there was anything I did not recognise and I saw INTERNET RESEARCH CENTRE v1 I do not remember seeing this before does anybody know whether it will be safe to uninstall please. Sorry so long.

I'd google that software name on another device but generally id say yes uninstall if you don't recognise it. If you control alt delete and go to the processes tab can you sort by size and see what the biggest entries are in that list

Oh can you look at when that software was installed, that's often a clue

Thank you for your reply I will have a look tomorrow as I have switched the computer off now I cannot do anything on there it is so slow
