My 5yr old will pretty much only go on Winnie The Pooh, It's A Small World, the carousel, and 7DMT. It feels fast-ish, but smooth and no surprises so I think you'll manage just fine

My 14 year old nephew is the same, he refused out right to go on Test Track but loves BTM so much so he thought that SDMT was a bit tame for him now! Each to their own but I always think you should try something once to really know if you like it or not.

Don't get me started on Test Track, me and DS went on this a few years go. We both like sports cars and driving (me not DS), so thought this would be fun. Hated the high speed track experience, although there's no drops the G forces in the turns brought on my anxiety/fear 😱

I’m pretty much a coaster wimp. I’ve been on Everest but I won’t be doing it again. The Mine Train is fine though, as is Big Thunder (this is just about my limit). As previous posters have said, sit near the front and enjoy the ride.

Further to my previous post about myself also being a member of the wuss club, I also went on this once and never, ever again.

I was totally and utterly conned/bribed/pressurised by family/friends into thinking it was just like the mine train. I was suckered. "Oh the big drop is just an optical illusion". Yeah right.

Hated every second. I remember very little as I cried, screamed and closed my eyes all the way. I was told I rather embarrassingly dropped the F bomb shouting "this isn't the #@.$ing mine train" I genuinely don't remember saying it and I apologise unreservedly to anyone within earshot. Not big, not clever but oh so justified.

This was me top right. I've had better photos taken. I feel the light didn't catch me at the right angle...

Funnily enough I was ok with the drop. It was the fast curving bit at the end which did for me.

It's in Fantasyland. It was designed for kids and their families. It's not meant to be Big Thunder Mountain railroad. The drops are no worse than going down a slide.

I’d like to apologise on behalf of our families for your terrible experience, but I just can’t. It was one of the highlights of the trip, and still makes us all so happy when we recount the story. So ashamedly, sorry, not sorry

I have to agree with the other posters, the mine train is very family friendly. Great fun, and I don’t think I noticed anyone looking scared during the ride (even John). And you get to sing along which is a proper trip back to childhood.

I’d encourage even extreme wusses to give it a go
