They were quite serious discussing it. I guess I expected how dangerous. I don't find people setting them selves up for skin cancer amusing.
A PP yesterday stated that anyone who has tan line was not using sun screen correctl
Strange responses but hey ho you live and learn as to. how people think

I do not believe for a second there is anyone who actually thinks vegetable oil and coca cola is an acceptable option for suntan protection. They were taking the mickey. For a start the two things don't actually mix together. However if it helps I'll add this

Sunburn can kill you. Not now, not next year but in the future. A tan is just a just another form of sunburn. Its abnormal, its mutilating your skin for cosmetic reasons which can in future cause your death. Last year in the UK there were over 15000 new cases of skin cancer and just short of 2500 deaths.

I really don't care what you believe, why would they be taking the Mickey anyhow they don't know anyone could hear them. I just saw her shaking a water bottle!e with a mixture in it and rub it on her body. I don't think she was worried about sunscreen just getting a tan.
You really do underestimate the stupidity of people. Work a night in ER and you wouldn't know whether to laugh or cry at unbelievable!e stupid things people thinking is ok to do

Well I ,for one, am very concerned to hear this. It’s also left me wondering what brands of products they are using. With theme park pricing of genuine Coca Cola it could work out an expensive option.
I’m also concerned about the type of product that Suffolk dad is using for his finger painting! I’m am equally as intrigued to see a picture of his masterpiece though.

I find your answer to be patronizing. If you don't care about my opinion then don't ask for it. This is a forum and people can have the opinions they have.

I am perfectly aware of what people can and can't do. I have worked many nights in an ER department as well as 30 plus years nursing. I am now off to work and will not be replying on this thread again as it would appear the OP only wants people who agree with them to post.
