Have a look at my trip report from January 2017, we got the RER from Gare du Nord to Marne le Vallee and I detail how we did it in the trip report

Not hard. I did it just last weekend.
If you are arriving by train head to the end of the platform. Turn left and head right to the end. You will see some white ticket machines and an esclator going down. If the ticket machines are free grab your ticket. You can select english language. You'll want Région Île-de-France. Start to type in Marne le Velle Chessy and you'll see it pop up. Select it. Select if it's for adults etc and then select the amounts. Enter your card details or cash to pay. I think it's coins only. I paid by card. E15.20 for 2 adult tickets. Once you have your tickets head down the esclator and head to rer B. Take the right hand esclator down to the platform and you'll want the right side platform as you go down. Look at the train board and you want the next stop Châtelet - Les Halles. Once the train stops at chatlet just walk forward to the opposing platform. You the need to look at the train board and make sure Marne le Velle Chessy is lit. If it's not lit the next train in will not stop there. Wait until you see it lit and get the next train in. Once on the train it's then a 50 or so minute journey with around 14 stops. Yours is the very last stop. You can't go wrong. When you return it's the same procedure except in reverse. White ticket machine at Marne le Velle Chessy. You'll want platform 2. Look at the sign board. You won't see a line for Chatlet on it's own. Look for PARIS region. You will see a number of stations grouped together with Châtelet - Les Halles included. Again make sure it's lit up to the side of it so you know it's the correct train. If it's Not lit up again do not board. Once on again another 14 or so stops and back at chatlet. Again walk to opposing platform and get on the train for Paris. Edited at 04:37 PM. |
