Orlando to Miami - Scenic Route

So it kinda says what it does on the tin. We're having a couple of nights in South Beach in between our stay in Orlando and was wondering if anyone has any advice what route to take.

We are going to take all day so there is no rush to hit the main highways and would love to see more than Ihop's and Denny's.

Thanks in advance

We used the turnpike, stopping at Vero beach along the way, is beautiful.

If you want something a bit different, take a look at the Seminole Indian Tribe Museum ahtahthiki/.
The Billie Swamp Safari is nearby billieswamp/
Seminole tribe website: semtribe/
They are 45 miles south of Clewiston, and north of the I-75 - you go down the 833 road that runs from north to south situated west of the US27. It is a really rural area!

The 27 isn’t not sure about I95, maybe around Miami.

I don't really think there is a scenic route, there is the fast freeway option and then the local roads, but I'm not sure I'd really give either of them the title scenic

We drove up the 27 last year and are planning the same route this year. It's not stunning scenery, but we really enjoyed it. The road was very quiet after you left Miami and we saw lots of agriculture that we didn't even realise went on in Florida (turf cutting seemed very popular). Some small towns and lots of open road. I think it's a really nice route. Maybe take some water as it did seem quite isolated in places.
