Mobile Anyone got married at Disney?

We have a holiday booked at the end of the year and have thought about eloping at the same time. Prices weren’t as bad as I thought for a wedding at Disney, albeit I realise they are starting prices. Has anyone done it? How was it? We have so many family and friends a wedding would end up costing so much at home to accommodate everyone and keep everyone happy. Thought this way it’s just us and our kids (and grandparents) nice and intimate, and combines holiday/wedding/honeymoon all together. Just wondered if anyone had any experience or thoughts?

We are getting married in August just us 2 and our 5 year old. We aren’t getting married in Disney but at a place called The Secret Garden. They do really reasonable elopement packages. It’s probably also worth having a look at the weddings and honeymoon section on here as there is some good advice.

Seen a few arguments on the parks that may have ended in divorce

Hey Big dreams.
We are getting married at the swan and dolphin next year. We wanted to have a wedding at the Disney chapel but you can only book a max 9 months in advance which wasnt fair on our family (coming from the UK).

Congratulations! Did you book directly with them or have you hired a wedding planner. I have now come across paradise cove which is near Disney and looks lovely, but don’t know whether it’s best to hire a wedding planner to sort it all, and then would look at doing one of the portrait sessions at magic kingdom. Diffrent realise there was so many choices!

We had a Disney wedding back in 2009. We booked the Escape package.

There are so many wonderful options in Orlando. As well as Disney other options are:

Swan & Dolphin
Disney Springs
Hotels such as the 4 Seasons and in Celebration
Paradise Cove
Cypress Grove
Discovery Cove
Winder Park such as Kraft Azalea

and many more.

We're getting married at the Polynesian in September. We're doing the Memories package through Disney so you can only have 4 guests + the couple. The package price is $3,500 which includes a limo, an hours photography, flowers and a violinist. You have to have a minimum of two nights stay on property. It doesn't include the extra such as the registrar, any extra photography etc. An MK portrait session is around the $2000 mark and you don't get to choose your photographer, you have to have who Disney allocate you.

We got married at the Pavilion back in 2000 and stayed at the GF. Around 18 people came out for the wedding, Disney arranged Private dining in the GF grounds in time for the fireworks..it was amazing
