Mobile Sun pass toll

Going back after 7 years and just wondered if you can pre-pay for passes to to avoid paying at toll booths and how much they are? I think you used to be able to buy them when picking your car up from airport?

If you use Alamo you can use their system, it just bills you a admin charge plus the toll each time you drive through the express lanes. No need to do anything it activates the first time you drive through the express lane tolls.

Admin charge? Is that per toll through the express lane? Do you know how much it is? Is it worth it?

The site is quite straightforward

1st time you drive through a toll (sunpass/epass lane) , you're charged $3.95 + toll

for the next 24hrs you are only charged for the tolls you go through

if, after those 24hrs, you use a sunpass lane again, you're charged the $3.95 and another 24hrs period starts and you're just charged for the tolls.

and so on

you won't be charged more than $19.75 for your whole rental period.

Its possible to leave MCO and get onto Sandlake Road avoiding all tolls if the cost is of concern. It will take you an extra 10 - 15 minutes.

Mm. Used to be easy as I did it all the time. Not so easy now as they have shoved a new toll plaza on the road leading to Sandlake Rd. Think it's a buck or a buck twenty five.

You can still do it. Exit airport on Semoran, take first left on Frontage, continue onto McCoy, left on Conroy, almost immediate right to follow McCoy all the way to Sandlake.

Ahh. Nice to see a way around. Too much hassle though. Straight up the Beachline for me.
