Mobile Sun pass with Alamo skip the counter

How can I buy the sun pass system to avoid tolls if I'm checking in online with Alamo to skip the counter?

You don't buy it, it is automatically activated if you use the sunpass lane at any toll plaza, then you are charged a daily fee for each day you use a toll, which I think is $3.95 up to a max of $14.95 for the rental period, plus tolls. The charges will be taken from the credit card you use at the barrier, usually around 2 to 3 weeks after your rental period ends

Many thanks. So I don't need to do anything else? Just drive though that lane?

Correct. It's all done via photographs of the rear licence plate, not a transponder as some believe.
The cost is as follows:-

$3.95 fee per usage day (24 hr. interval) that customer incurs tolls, plus tolls (at posted cash/TOLL-BY-PLATE rates)

$19.75 maximum fee per rental period plus tolls (at posted cash/TOLL-BY-PLATE rates)

So you pay for each toll and up to a maximum of $19.75 for the duration ref admin.

You get billed anything between 1 week and 2+ Months after you get home as they bill in cycles.

Nothing else to do. If you are flying into MCO and using the 417 south exit this is the first toll plaza you'll encounter.

Just go through the Sunpass lanes. If you leave MCO north exit and go to I-4 via the 528 then I believe that the toll plaza is similar.

Thanks a lot! Sorry one more question as it's been a few years since I've been. Is it more beneficial to do sun pass or pay per toll? Sorry!

You don't have to slow down and join a queue or find change, so there's a couple of benefits

I would say depends how many toll roads you are going to use.
If you are doing a lot of driving then I would do the sunpass way .
We have done both ... It makes no odds to me really...
At least doing sunpass you are not faffing around for cash.

Absolutely your decision - there's no right or wrong.

If you are only going through one toll in a day for say $1.50 you might ask yourself do I want to pay nearly $4 on top for the convenience of driving through the plaza. Or do I slow down for 30 seconds and keep right and just pay the toll cost.

If you elect to pay cash there's no need to stress about getting change at the airport. Give them a $20 bill, or less, at the first plaza and ask for change - they will give you loads of quarters.

Some plazas, mainly on the off-ramps, are unmanned and you will need cash to throw into the basket. This is the unmanned one off 417 at j2 onto Celebration Avenue which takes you to 192. 75 cents last month.

if you pay per toll, you save $3.95 per day you use the service

but you also lose the convenience of not having to slow down and pay

as far as I'm concerned, not having to stop is well worth the money
