That’s about £295 each. So, its cheaper than getting another UK 14 day Ultimate ticket for a second trip.

Then throw in free parking (now $22 per day) if offsite. Store discounts of 20% and 10% off TS dining.

I expect to save more than enough to pay for our AP upgrades next year (2019) and plan to go again the following year (2020)... probably again the following year for the 50th but I'm not thinking about that now

We were only going to upgrade one ticket but as we decided we'll go back again when Star Wars will definitely be open so we need upgrade all 4 tickets at about $1000.

Our saving estimations (2019)
Parking $308 ($22*14)
Dooneys $100
Lego store $100
General spends $200
Dining $120 (TS only, QS if they do same as last year will be more)
Total $828

This will almost pay for the AP upgrades and then we get the same again in 2020 plus effectively free entry.

Please note that yesterday the Annual Passes all increased in price. The price of a new Platinum Plus Pass is now $1010 (including tax) and the Platinum Pass is now $904 (incl tax).

Therefore, I'd expect the price to upgrade a UK ticket to an Annual Pass will now cost around $80 more.

It goes up every year. It just gets factored in later. Parking has gone up as well.

Buying an AP and using it the following year means you don't pay next years prices so it balances out.

Yeah. Just pointing out that anyone upgrading a ticket to an AP from today onwards will have to pay more than those who upgraded last week or beforehand. The APs have gone up (by around $80) but the Ultimate tickets haven't.

Hi there,

I was going to upgrade one ticket in my family to the AP as of the car parking charge rate and the additional savings. I have read that you can challenge the person giving you the price or go to another booth at the same entrance of the park and they could give you a cheaper price? I don't understand how that is worked out at all if they're fixed prices. I have an unlimited 21 day pass currently for May 2018. Any info is greatly received.

It does seem like different cast members work things out differently and can come to a different price. You can get different upgrade prices depending on where you go and who you ask - so it's worth asking around if you don't like the first offer you're given. Why this is the case is beyond me.

I'd expect to be told a price of around $340 to upgrade to the Platinum Pass (the one without waterpark access).
