Mobile Using Uber instead of pre-booked DME

Hi, we have booked DME, but I'm wondering if It would matter if we didn't turn up and got an Uber instead. We would probably only do this if our flight is delayed as we may then be running late for our first night ADR? Also how does everyone find the 4 hour pick up time on the return journey, do you find there is a lot of waiting around at the airport?
Many thanks everyone.

no issue.

tbh I would not make ADR for the first night.
too many variables, like delays, or not being in the best of shapes for a sit down meal after a flight.

it depends on the load at MCO (check in, security, and so on) and it depends if your DME picks other guests up at other disney hotels before going to MCO
You could probably cut that time down to 3hrs using a Uber, or requesting a later pick up time (at your hotel once checked in) but I would not cut it any shorter.

Agree that it is not a good idea to make an ADR the first night. So easy to get a QS meal which won’t have you falling asleep in your dinner!

On both our trips there were unexpected delays and it was 10pm before we could check in!

You can always get the DME even if your flight is delayed, you just show your hotel booking reservations at the desk and they will put you on the next one out. They run pretty frequent so I wouldn't waste money on an UBA
