The Disney website is rubbish first thing though when they do release prices. It's normally very glitchy.

Jumping on this rather than making another thread - sorry op!

We have done free dining 3 times before so should know this by now but we've always done 2 weeks.

Next August we are looking at doing around 18 night so we can take it easy, am I right thinking you need the dining plan for every night of your stay and as such you'd need tickets for every day?

It's no major concern it just means we'll have to get 3 week tickets but may only use 14 - 15 days

You'll get the dining plan for every night of your stay, but can buy a 14 day ticket if you'd prefer to, rather than a 21 night one

I thought you need tickets for the dining plan so if I was there 18 nights I'd need the 21 day tickets?

Either way can't wait to get it booked (even if at this point I'm still trying to work out how we will actually pay for it all)

Sorry if this seems a stupid question. The wisdom on this board suggests hotel/resort prices for 2019 are due within the next few days. Can I assume that when free dining comes out in April the hotel prices that are just about to be released will be those charged when the free dining starts.

I don't think there's an exact science but there or thereabouts, for my last trip however the prices Virgin had actually dropped ever so slightly for me when free dining released

It will be the rack rate. So currently there is a 2 nights free offer - obviously it won’t be the same as that.

You do and you'll still be buying them, but they don't have to match your length of stay. At least they haven't needed to in the past

Roughly. They'll be the rack rate prices that free dining is based on. Some stay the same, some go down a bit, but if you're wanting to get an idea of what to budget, they'll give you a good guide. If they go down when fee dining is released, then it's a bonus

Was at the Virgin Travel agents at the weekend there and they are going over to see Disney this week or next can't remember what he said but its to discuss the offers for this year. We were in looking to find out prices for January and doing a cruise as well. They have said free Dining isn't guaranteed and don't be surprised if it is not there and replaced by another offer or is Dining offer is worse again.
