Thank you all. I’m having a wobble today about it being a very silly idea! Think we might look into booking a cancellable/movable trip as it will just be nice to plan something for a bit.

I've been looking at going to DLP just before Christmas too! I know it will be a different than normal experience but I'm prepared to take that! We wouldn't be able to go with the quarantine though so I am ever hopeful they will lift that before then!

I believe if you book direct with DLP they are doing a zen guarantee where you can cancel up until 7 days before with a full refund.

Thank you! Do you know if the zen guarantee covers flights?

I don’t book flights with Disney as I prefer to book directly, but I am pretty sure that the zen guarantee does not cover flights. Happy to be corrected. Delighted to be corrected in fact.

As I mentioned earlier I am starting to think about next year, if I decide to book I will book the hotel now with the reassurance of zen guarantee. I will leave flights until nearer the time, won’t be too expensive to Paris anyway (for us as only two of us) and BA are offering vouchers for change of mind anyway.

We are booked for December. We had a trip booked for September for Sequoia Lodge (booked pre-Covid) which we pushed back and moved to NPB.

I'm trying to stay positive but at the same time realistic that it may not happen. I can live with the park limitations (with a toddler in tow we rarely get to stand around waiting for parades and fireworks anyway!)... the biggest issue would be quarantine if that is still in place. Going in December I wouldn't want to have to quarantine on return in the lead up to Christmas when we would be seeing family for festive celebrations etc.

I'm hopeful things will be calmer in a few months... that's what I am wishing for anyway!

Also just to add we drive so takes out the worry of cancelled flights etc (but thinking if you are based up north that might not really be an option!)

Tbh we would drive so I hadn’t checked the terms regarding flights!

I am keeping everything crossed things have settled down for December too! The quarantine would be the biggest problem for us too so hopefully things change by then!

Yes we are up north! We looked into driving so we could take snacks and water etc but we worked out it would be 9hrs did us which is so far with the kids. Manchester is about 40 mins drive. I know there loads of waiting about in an airport but it’s one we know very well. Then was thinking the magical shuttle as it’s our first time.
Interestingly enough my parents pointed out that today about the quarantine as we’d get back 20-23rd (dependant one price) so would be quarantined over Xmas. To be honest it doesn’t bother me too much but I think my parents would be upset to not see kids aside from through the window! We are currently in a local lockdown anyway so they haven’t seen them for a while. We need a crystal ball!

We are due to go on 28th March on a big family trip, we booked flights with EasyJet as they don’t charge amendment fee so figure worst case we can move the flights. The balance for DLP through ATD is due late January so I guess we have to assess then.

I think the biggest issue you have is that France may decide that we (English tourists) have to quarantine on the way into France. You would then have to stay inside for the first 14 days of a stay.
