New York
We stayed at The Conrad in Lower Manhattan. It's a suite hotel absolutely beautiful. Fabulous views of the Hudson and over to The Statue of Liberty. Well worth a visit

we bought tickets out there from the theatre on the day. We were there first week of December and there were Rockettes out in Times Square handing out 50% off leaflets for the matinees. Was originally looking to book with ticket master but booking fees were extortionate! We were about 15 rows back in the orchestra and thought it was a fantastic view

We stayed just off Times Square, hotel Belvedere - very quiet leafy street by memory but not far from the action of Times Square, we loved it ! Highly recommend !

We stayed at Room Mate Grace just off Time Square. We loved it.
It is a basic hotel which was all we needed as we were out sightseeing all the time. There was a Starbucks that opened early which was great for my jetlag and a 5 minute walk from the subway. We loved the whole experience of being in the middle of all the action as it was our 1st visit. I must confess after 4 days, I had had enough of the busyness and was ready to come home x |

We're hopefully going back at the end of next month. If we're allowed!
We have stayed at Hilton Garden Inn times square before and are staying there again. Great location and quite peaceful. For New York anyway! I keep looking to try and find out whether we will be allowed to travel Everything is paid for and to say it's worrying is an understatement! |

We strayed at st Paulus hook in New Jersey in an apartment. I would only ever stay in New Jersey now.
The apartment was the same price as a tiny hotel room in Manhattan. It was 2 bedroomed with floor to ceiling windows and views of the manhattan skyline - it was right on the river. We got the PATH from New Jersey under the river to the world trade centre transport hub. It was far quicker than getting there from the other end of Manhattan. Coming home to New Jersey every night was bliss. It was calm and quiet and we walked from the PATH along the waterfront to our apartment watching the sunset over the Manhattan skyline (we were across the river from the world trade centre). We also flew into Newark which was far, far better than JFK which we flew out of. So glad we did this as it showed us another way. Our friends came last minute and stayed the same place as us but wanted Manhattan. They completely changed their minds for all the reasons above and like us would only stay New Jersey now. |
