Good news for some. Me included that it will open on the 15th with the rest of the park with the update and closure postponed indefinitely. I love the Judy Dench version. We do it at least twice on our visits. It's one of those if the queue is short enough as we pass we will jump on it kind of rides.

Oh now I really hope we can go! I missed riding it last year. I can't remember why but I was gutted when I realised i missed my last choice as it was!

Where did you see that?

Not unexpected un the current situation but if the parks pick up quickly I can see it being refurbished within 2 years.

Disney still have it listed as closed for refurb, I can’t see them changing that as this is the perfect opportunity to start the refurb.

It’s Epcot’s 40th anniversary in 2022, this refurb was supposed to take 2 years so unless they do a smaller refurb, I can’t see them doing to until after the anniversary now.

I sure hope they hold fire till after their 40th as that’s when we next go, and this is my all time favorite ride in WDW.

We did this for the first time last year and really enjoyed it.

Is the refurb, when it happens, just an update to the current ride or a complete change?

The update was meant to be a change in narration and some scenes. In addition to this it would have been a general spruce up of everything else on the ride.

To me it was always the symbol of the future, I remember riding when I was young and the little girl talking to her Dad in another place via a big TV etc it was a futurist dream but is now reality. I love the old part through time but needs more future, what will be have in 30 years time etc
