Where Have The Birds Gone?
Is it just me but apart from the Magpies and Crows we haven't seen any sparrows, blackbirds etc etc at all this year.
They better hurry up as I have just spent an hour Power-washing their bird bath! Most disquieting if they have disappeared.

Tom my fat balls and nut dispenser are attracting all kinds of birds; wood pigeons, tits, sparrows, robins, starlings, finches, crows and even a beautiful woodpecker. They are out there.

I went for a walk along the prom and my husband commented, that there were hardly any seagulls.
It was strange, but we wondered,if it was because there were no one about to feed them ( only people aren’t supposed to ) Tracy x

We are overrun with parakeets here this spring - a few magpies brave them and the odd pigeon (lack of tourist feeding them !) but indigenous garden birds are scarce indeed

It's the normal one. I will dig out a picture.
They tend to fight like mad in there most years. I know a Ginger Tom has taken to having a drink most mornings but I'm not even seeing them anywhere around by us. Plus there are some small woods only 150 yards away. Very weird. Edited at 05:35 PM. |

Tom
Been saying the same thing all winter. We have every imaginable feed on our frame but haven't seen a single bird. We've read articles on the RSPB web site about where to locate it all to no avail. Last winter we had all sorts of finches and tits on the feeder. We don't even see sparrows or starlings looking for bugs in the lawn now Mick
