We're booked 11th - 24th August, really in two minds at the moment.

I'm expecting not to go. We have 2 weeks onsite at CSR one week with DDP and a week at SSR. Hubby would cancel now because he doesn't think Florida will be virus free by August and at the moment I think he's probably right. On the other hand I would love to still be able to go. So I'm sitting on my hands waiting to see what happens over the next couple of months. Plus flights aren't cancelled yet and I won't do anything until they are and we can get our money back.
If we end up having to move it, I'm tempted to cancel and wait until 2022 and add a Disney cruise on. We already have holidays booked for Easter and August next year so another one would be pushing it.

DIBB Villa Reviews: 1
We rebooked from 2/5 to 29/8. Our very generous villa owner allowed us to move the dates so we didn’t lose any money!

I’m sure we’ll be going. If the parks aren’t ‘suitable’ for us, we can use the tickets next year. Lots of other things to do/see in Florida.

I’m more than happy to shop, sunbathe & eat.

Similar dates to us. We are 12-30th. I felt down about it all for a while but now I’m determined we will go and make the best of it, if at all possible!

That’s exactly my thinking. We have 11 nights on site booked followed by 7 nights in a villa. If Disney is not up and running or too compromised for us then we’ll cancel Disney and book another villa or hotel explore the rest that Florida has to offer!

We’re not expecting to go, but that’s possibly going to be by choice (we would probably choose to amend our dates to Aug 2021 as our insurance would still cover us that way).

If it wasn’t for the fact that this is the first ever visit for our children, and we’d been planning to make it the holiday of a lifetime, we would definitely be considering still going and just making the most of whatever is open.

That's also our thinking

We have 16 nights on Disney booked in Aug and we are absolutely gutted to see what is unfolding for everyone. With this positive thread one side of us thinks if all ok then it should be quiet & safe(ish) on Disney and we may even get on ROTR and only live once but the other side of things we think if its not looking good we will turn it into a beach/state park chill out holiday. Very worst case scenario is there's always next year to go

August is still a long way off and lots of things are going to change with many ups and downs along the way i'm sure. TBH i think its out of most of our hands in that the big decisions are down to the governments and FCO to deem everything safe then down to individual people and families if they decide to go once deemed safe.

Whats right for one person is wrong for someone else IYKWIM.

Stay safe everyone.

If we get to go I will be so so happy! We’re booked for 10-31 August. Feels like forever since our 2016 holiday in Orlando so waiting until next year or the year after makes me feel so sad. Thank you for the positive post.

We last went in October 2017 so feel very much the same as you.
