I'm thinking of ditching my 7 nights at POFQ and switching to Universal, staying at Sapphire Falls and doing those parks. Then I'll have my 5 complimentary nights at the Polynesian without parks. Just chill at the resort, Disney Springs, have a look around other resorts.

It’s looking really doubtful we will book for next year now. Not the experience we were looking for, now it’s a decision of do we hang on to our money for 2022 or do we book something else.

UPDATE: Disney has removed wording regarding a specific “end” date for dining and experience reservation cancellations, including the Disney Dining Plan.
Dining and Experiences: In order to foster physical distancing during this time, upon reopening, our offerings, restaurants and other experiences such as behind-the-scenes tours will be limited in capacity, and other experiences may remain closed. As a result of limited capacity, we have made the difficult decision to cancel all existing dining reservations and experience bookings, including Disney dining plans included in packages, through the end of the year. We will reopen dining and experience bookings with more limited numbers closer to when the parks reopen. We will also shift from a 180-day booking window to a 60-day booking window for dining and experience bookings going forward to allow Guests to make their plans closer to their visits. The sept 2021 doesn't seem to be mentioned anymore

So what will happen if you’ve already got free DDP for this year? Will they just scrap it from your booking or give a discount as well I wonder?

In the US they are giving a 35% discount on the room or you can cancel. Here it’s governed by the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations so expect to be able to cancel as well if you want. Expect some discount I’d guess if you keep it. Or they may just honour it in foreign markets but I’d be surprised.

Surely if EVERY guest had a virtual queue (FP+) for every ride there would be no need to queue as you could wonder around / rest in a shaded area with drink etc. Wouldn't this then achieve social distancing?
