**UPDATE POST 46** Disney Dining 2021 - UPDATE FROM ATTRACTION TICKETS

Hi all

Just got off the phone to AT where I asked to defer my 2 bookings to 2021.

The lady on the call has said to hold on until early next week to make any changes - they are finally having the 'talk' with Disney this weekend regarding 2021 - this will cover any deals they are going to release (including if free dining will be released), whether any hotels will not be open still, any changes to capacity etc.

This does not mean that free dining 2021 IS happening BUT we will know once and for all whether it will or will not.

AT customers with live bookings will be receiving an email on Monday/Tuesday regarding 2021 and what is happening - I will share the details when this comes through.

Fingers crossed it is positive in regards to FD but at least we will know one way or the other so we can finally make concrete decisions.

Fingers crossed! Tbh free dining is the least of our worries now but if the parks are bookable and there are no FP’s then we won’t be going. We are supposed to be going August so the FP are vital

I think it will be pretty much back to normal by next August tbh. Then again, we're also going August 2021 so it could be wishful thinking!

I think next August we will be hugging Mickey, then popping to Crystal Palace for a character lunch and finishing with a fireworks bang ...

Well that’s what I’m telling myself for 453 days time lol xx

If I was booked this year I wouldn’t be going. Notwithstanding the worry about the virus itself what is your holiday even going to be like?

When I read about the cancellation of FPs and no fireworks/parades I am so glad we weren’t planning a trip this year.

For years I’ve been explaining to people that doing FPs and ADRs so far in advance isn’t a bad thing and doesn’t restrict spontaneity that much.

I do however think whatever plans they put on place in the short term will remove all spontaneity. There’s likely to be the booking times etc to go anywhere - I can’t even imagine how they’ll manage the toilets never mind FPs, crowd management and stuff like that.

It may be they have some really good ideas but given they aren’t rushing to reopen and waiting till 11/15 July suggests there’s a lot they don’t understand themselves about how things will work.

If I am honest it’s made my mind up - we won’t be there in 2021. It’ll be 2022 or 2023 I suspect.

Stay safe

Thanks for this, think people need to know one way or the other. I had my heart set on August next year, but FD is the deal breaker. We’ve pretty much resigned ourselves that we’ll be going elsewhere next year, but if the offers are decent I may rethink.

Oh thank you so much for this.
I'm in the process of booking for december 20 but now have no tickets as they have been 'pulled' and still don't know if my flights will be cancelled for a refund.
I rebooked my july 20 stay for 2021, but lost my gift cards and free dining in the process.
Just need a bit of good news! or clarification anyway.

Moving to 2022 and 23 is not an option as my ds will be out of college then.

It would be nice to know one way or the other, given the limited hotel availability for mod and value resorts for my dates in May i think i already know 2021 is a no go, just hope 2022 isnt completely packed

Disney UK only gets a certain allocation of rooms so their availability isn't a true picture. I don't think you can book 2021 packages through Disney US as yet as Americans tend to book later than us Brits.
