Many thanks, had seen those comments too. I deliberately did the API ahead of applying for the ESTAs for this exact reason, just in case...

I didnt know this and did my APIs about 30 mins ago. I've tried logging into the esta site and first 3 times it said details were unknown/wrong. But they weren't I have my esta inmfront of me. Reloaded page and now i get nothing no wrong try again and no correct you are in... only the header and footer.

The estas are ones i did for last years trip that have a few months left maybe 6 and i have been checking periodically that they were still valid and they were

**panic over I went incognito and worked first time!

How will buying food and drink before we arrive at the airport work for security ? Most food will be ok but we can’t take much liquid through ? Hopefully they will have plenty water onboard.
I take it the airport shops will open in the same timescale as local shops ?

The W H Smith shops airside will be open and they sell water, chocolate etc. Just remember if you have any fruit it will have to be eaten on board or left on the plane when landing.

Does anyone know if there is a boots if we get to fly from gatwick with ba?

You'll find Boots airside and landside on both terminals. BA go from south

Fantastic thanks, haven't flown from gatwick in 15 years and I barely remember it it has also probably changed drastically
