Went to Altamonte Mall a couple of weeks ago after hearing good reports. It was ok but not worth the drive in my opinion. Florida Mall or the Outlets were just as good. When trying to decide on rings in Kay's the shop assistant even said 'are you going to buy either of these two or not?" Needless to say we didn't and went to another shop

That doesn't sound very good.

I think, as we'll be getting a taxi, it might be a bit too far to travel too anyhow.

The second jewellers we went to was the opposite though. A lovely sales assistant in Zales got our custom and we really felt nothing was too much trouble for her.

My understanding of the main Malls are as follows:

Mall at Millennia - upmarket mall with designer stores (and a Cheesecake Factory).

Florida Mall - bog standard American Mall with all the usual shops.

Altamonte Mall - similar to Floriday Mall but cheaper/less busy (though I've never been).

Premium Outlets International Drive or Vineland Ave - both discounted outlet centres

Festival Bay - Pretty empty now as it should be redeveloped, but does have a Ron Jon & Outdoor World.
