I think regardless of whether you eat in McDonald's on a regular basis or never its about choice for me. You will no doubt have people who prefer the new place and those who prefer to have the McDonald's so why remove one to have the other, especially if it is indeed popular?

On a personal level I like the fact Orlando and Disney like to introduce new things on a regular basis but I would prefer if more often than not it was additional rather than replacement!

Thumbs up

I personally don't like McD's, but my little girl does, when we used to have the 'Earl of Sandwich' she would shoot down and get a McD's. That said, I love the idea of trying something new and am glad it's happening.
Lets face it, you would have to be somewhere pretty remote not to be able to get a McD's if u couldn't live without it.

Try Cornwall - there's only 3 branches in the whole county. They much prefer a good pasty!

Disney's new ethos is to move towards healthier eating. McDs doesn't fit that bill and before anyone mentions the fries in the parks - they are now using a non saturated (non trans fat) sunflower oil which is then recycled because it's used to power the trains that run around the parks.

My kids are older now so it doesn't matter so much, but when they were young and fussy mc'd's was a godsend. I know there are others around, but we've always stayed on site without a car, so it was nice to know there was one within reach. I would have been gutted if this had happened a few years ago. Having said that, my oldest son will still miss the breakfasts.

Just goes to show that if you drop your sponsorship then Disney will drop you.

Suits me - I hate McD's with a passion and haven't been in one in over 20 years. This new place sounds much more like my kind of food - hooray
