NEW! Disneys Art of Animation Resort Coming to WDW

Hooray this sounds brilliant! This year will be our first trip to WDW but one of the hardest things I found when booking this holiday was the accommodation choice. I certainly didn't relish the thought of 2 weeks in one room with our son, who is always an early riser etc just wouldn't feel like a holiday if we were all up at the crack of dawn with him. But there was very little choice if we wanted to stay on site, luckily the 42% discount that Disney were running meant we were able to secure a 1 bed villa at SSR but this new hotel should hopefully address this problem. Well done Disney!

Although I agree that this is agreat step forward, it's a shame they are not using these buildings as they were originally intended i.e the Pop Century Early Years - even the bridge is in place at the current Pop resort. Looking over to the area you can see the year numbers already there at what I assume was intended to be the lobby. They still could have done this but with family suites IMO.

This is a big themeing departure for a Disney resort. As far as I can tell this is the first resort developed round Disney films. Is it a good or bad idea? That is a matter of opinion (I think it is great) but it is interesting to note all the same.

I think this sounds great and will definitely be in the forefront of thoughts when booking to go again in a few years. Just hope I have a child by then

This sounds great we are agreat fan of Pop Century having been there 3 times, we are trying Carabean Beach this year and their rooms are themed. Although there are only the 3 of us but my 13 year old already at 5'3" is quickly outgrowing the share room with mam and dad bit, so these rooms will be great for us.

Time to start looking into another trip

I think its a very good idea but should be built on other Disney world land. Pop century would need to change names now as it be just half a century now.
