We used Birds at Crystal River and would recommend them - our boys had a great time, saw a lot of manatees and the staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. If you do this would recommend you try and do it as early in the day as possible as adult manatees like their siesta in the afternoons are less active and leave the 'children' to play.

We used Birds Underwater, it was a brilliant trip, stayed the night before in the Best Western just up the road, and as it was particularly cold that morning, we swam with loads of manatees as they all came to the springs to keep warm...it was fantastic.

We used Fun2dive who came highly recommended on the Dibb. Captain Joe was amazing , it was just our family of 4 and another couple on the boat on the Crystal River. We could stay out as long as we wanted and saw lots of Mannatees, A truly amazing day and I cannot recommend fun2dive enough - look at their trip advisor as well.

We've been twice with "snorkel with manatees'. I would agree about going in the morning. We stayed the first time at the Econo Lodge in Crystal River, but the second time we just drove straight there as we knew the route. Going to Homosassa State Park is a good way to end your day, park in the main car park and there is a nice little boat trip down to the park itself, where there you will see rehabilitating manatees, as well as other animals, even a hippo that used to be in the tarzan movies. There's also a great little gift shop there at the main reception building.

we did it in December we booked with American pro diving centre and our tour guide Deanna was really good. I can swim but don't like going under water but she really helped me and made sure I saw a manatee, she provided hot chocolate on the boat on the way back too. I managed to get mine through groupon and it worked out a lot cheaper, then just rang them once we were in Florida to book a trip x

We have been with Fun2Dive 3 years ago and also had Captain Joe with just the 4 of us on his boat and would totally agree with the above comments
