Miami - things to do?

Going to be going up to Miami for 2 or 3 days looking at building a plan for things to do. Looking for recommendations? Obviously trip advisor has lots of options but looking for things people really enjoyed? Thanjs

We stayed overnight in Miami in October, mainly to take DS to see Miami Heat play. It was a great night. I'm sure there is loads more to do but we drove back to Orlando the next day so didn't really have time for anything else. We did say we'd love to go back and stay for a few days in the future.

Get on the Everglades trip, great experience.

We did the duck tours too, lots of fun!

I'd also recommend Lincoln rd mall... Great for a but to eat. South beach is worth a look!

Hi,
You can do a boat trip from Bayside, this takes in Star Island and all the wonderful water-front houses in the Miami and Miam Beach areas.
We have done this a few times and we think the best time is early evening so you catch a sunset with the Miami skyline. Its stunning.
Also from the same area, we have done the open top bus tour of both Downtown Miami and area along with Miami Beach too. The one we did was a hop on hop off, we had lunch on Ocean Drive. Great location for people watching.

One of my favourite places, I hope you have a great time

We have been a few times and it's a great base for visiting several places. We have spent a day travelling down the Keys, been to the Everglades for airboat and swamp buggy rides and did a cruise over to the Bahamas for the day! In Miami itself the boat trips from Bayside Marketplace around Star Island are great (as has been said), the Duck Tours are also fun. We did a Miami City tour which was great, started off on a mini-bus with the guide showing us all the sights, explaining about the history, different area and cultures etc and then did the Star Island boat tour so we got to see Miami from the water. Just wondering around South Beach is also fun and they have some great photo points and some fun restaurants!

Key Biscayne is great with a superb beach and Bill Baggs State Park where you can get a guided tour of the light house and light house keeper's cottage. The views from the top of the light house are wonderful. Coconut Grove is not far and that has some lovely bars and cafes.
