Spring Break appears to start mid Feb until mid April, and we've been to Clearwater early April & almost every car on the way to the beaches had out of state number plates, very few Florida plates on the road.

We vowed never to go at that time of year again.

I'm not allowed post links but according to a search today nearly all Spring Breaks for this year will finish 28th March. ..with a few exceptions breaking on 31st... I hope this is right as we fly late that week!

I've been doing my research because I thought it was right through up until Easter but every university is different

From this website it should be quiet when we go, however the younger children are off the week before Easter so it'll be busy then.

Don't know whether to give Clearwater a go after all but depends whether a lot of locals families go so I dunno...

The year that we went Easter was early. I'm not sure of the date that we visited Clearwater, but as we arrived on the 4th April, it would probably have been during our first week and it was busy.

We also encountered Spring Breakers at Busch Gardens on that holiday and their language and behaviour left a lot to be desired. A few people tried speak to them, but got abuse in return.
