Dragonpass - any recent reviews?

Thinking about getting one of these (vodafone offer) for our upcoming trip as we have a 3-4 hour layover each way at Schiphol. How does it work for guests? Do you need to pre-pay for their passes?
Anyone had any issues gaining access (specifically Cardiff and AMS)

We have a Dragonpass via Barclays, last few years we haven't managed to use it in Manchester or Newcastle. I'm thinking of just cancelling it and if we want to use the lounge pay ourselves. Hopefully others have had more luck than we have.

Never had a problem at Edinburgh but Geneva they have a sign up permeantly saying they are full for Dragonpass clients.
Think a guest pass is about £20/£22 person

We have had a DragonPass for quite a few years and never had a problem getting into the lounges, however this March I pre booked for £5 each as I had read comments of people being turned away. On the day we actually witnessed this and the lounge was pretty empty.

I’m thinking of getting this. I have Vodafone or could upgrade my Barclays account.

Do you then have to pay to enter the lounge? We have a very long layover on our return so I really want to be able to access a lounge but I don’t know the best way.

The Vodafone offer is £20 which includes 1 entry
Guest and additional passes are £19(?) each but I can't work out how you acquire / use this

It’s worth noting that generally lounge access is only available 3 hours prior to your departure time, if you do have a long layover, you might have to hang around for a while.

We often have trouble at ours with UK airports, with the lounges saying they are full. I've never had an issue at an international airport though!

2017 at Manchester they told us they were full using my Dragonpass, i looked in and said there is plenty of room are you pulling my leg, and winked. They said come back in 20 mins. There was 5 of us. So we returned in 10 mins and was allowed to walk in. I told the teens that were with us to eat as much as they can! But other than that never a problem
