While our kids were growing up we lived in a victorian house with very high ceilings and large rooms - and we always had a 10' real tree. The adventures and arguments that ensued every year when we put it up were real too They were lovely and I'd love to have the same now, but smaller house, low ceilings and no kids so we have an artificial tree.

We have a nice fake one from Costco- looks realistic with moulded branches. This year though we are off to WDW so have bought a pop up from Amazon and it's up now. Then we will pop it down when back. I wouldn't want it as my main tree if I was over here throughout Xmas but it's alright for what it is.

Always a real one, plus we have a fake one up in the back room too. An inflatable 5 foot snowman in the porch that frightens my little grand daughter so much , we had to hide him.

I just dont like the look of real ones, they just don't look like a Christmas tree to me, and very mis-shapen, big and bare
How can a real Christmas tree not look like a Christmas tree

Because it doesn't to me. They're shocking looking IMO. One twig at the top, then nothing till near a 1/4 the way down .

Just not to my taste, I prefer fuller trees with no gaps or bare patches.

Some people dont like artificial trees, that's fine, I dont like real ones, and that's ok too.

Always used to have a real tree but got sick of waiting till the middle of december to get it, any sooner & it didn’t look as good come Christmas so now have a fake one, it’s lovely & was a bargain, I love decorating it but really don’t like the chore of putting the tree itself together 🌲

I would love a real tree but darent.

So the compromise is real tree outside on the garden and a fake one for inside.
