If you like walking and seeing, then Falmouth (albeit a town) covers a lot of bases. It is also absolutely flush with really good restaurants.

Very close to Falmouth attractions.
The Ferry to St Mawes or the ferry to Truro.
Pendennis Castle.
National maritime museum (Falmouth)
The Ponsanooth gunpowder factory in Kendal Vale (Google it).****
The walk from Mawnan Smith Church to the Ferry Boat Inn.
Pandora Inn.
A walk on Anthony headland after using the King Harry Ferry.
Trelissick Gardens and it’s 2 walks.

Further afield to the East.
Eden project near St Awful.****
Charlestown .
Tintagel Castle
Jamaica Inn (worth a stop on the way in for Lunch).
Newquay aircraft museum at St Mawgan (really good and hands on).

To the West.
Lizard Village and walks round Black Head, Lifeboat Station, Manacles etc ****.
Kynance Cove (A must Visit)****
Goonhilly radar station and museum.
Porthleven (you will have seen images of seas hitting the clock tower).
St Michaels Mount
Porthcurno Beach, Telegraph Station and Minack Theatre (Stunning).****
Lands End (don’t pay, use the rights of way).
Bottallack Engine Houses on the cliffs.****
Levant mine and horizontal beam engine (near Bottallack).
Wheal Geevor mine and heritage centre (tells story of mining brilliantly and you enter the mine).****
St Ives Harbour (reassuringly pricey).
Gwithian Towans ( you could mark out your own football pitch and play in August on a hot day whilst disturbing nobody). Has great views.
Walk from Godrevy NT site to Portreath along North Cliffs.****

That should give you plenty to research!

Top tip... Newquay is a dump full of chancers, mainly from a couple of big cities in the North West, stag parties and drunken debauchery during the summer months. Think Magaluf with rain.
Thank you, amazing info and Newquay is firmly off the list

We love Cornwall! Our favourite place to visit is Mullion which is a village near lizard point and about 45-60 mins drive from Lands End.

There’s a gorgeous postcard picture beach called Kynance Cove which we all love. It’s a lot more known these days thanks to the over sharing on Facebook but still absolutely stunning and well worth a visit.

Our favorite area to stay is around Hayle. Amazing huge beach and cute little town with a selection of places to eat. Loads nearby- one of our favorite things to do is park up at Carbis Bay which is stunning and walk to St Ives and back.

Reachable to the Eden Project (Not a fan tbh), Newquay (yep pretty much as previously described, but good for surfing lessons!) Penzance (sealife boat trips) and the Cornish seal sanctuary among other attractions.

However one of my favorite places in the world is the Minack Theatre and Porthcurno beach. You could be in the Med, we've seen dolphins playing right off the beach and the theatre is incredible. Not gonna lie its a pain in the butt to get to but it's worth it!

We’ve stayed in St Agnes twice in the last few years. It’s a lovely little village with a nice beach & coastal walk. We stayed in a cottage owned by a family, the business is called Argantel. We would definitely stay there again. There are plenty of places to visit nearby, such as Perranporth, St Ives, Newquay (yes I know, but we like the harbour)!

If you are travelling that far do not miss The Minack Theatre and Porhcurno absolutely breathtaking.
We stayed in a caravan at Hayle which I preferred to St Ives
It’s s stunning area I’m sure you will have a lovely time
I’m not sure of your route but you could visit Stratford Upon Avon or Warwick on your way
( apologies if this is madly out of your way just somewhere nice to see)

I don’t know exactly where you live, but have you considered flying in to either Exeter or Newquay and picking up a hire car?
