Mobile Disability access pass

Hi guys I’ve just discovered that I qualify for a disability pass. Don’t know much about it, so I wondered if anyone has used one and let me know what it covers other than shorter waiting times. It would be the priority green card! Thank you x

You can use it on rides, character meets and shows. For character meets sometimes you will get to meet the character straight away (Darth Vader and Meet Mickey Mouse for example), other times you'll be given a slot to come back (e.g. Princess Pavilion (except during EMT) and Winnie the Pooh). For rides they will allow up to 3 people to come with you but for shows it's only 2 companions.

I've also heard you can use it at restaurants to skip the queue but we've never used this.

The only thing not covered by the pass is the Lineberty meets, these are done through the app for everyone as it's technically a virtual queue.

Depending on when you go the Disabled Access queues can be very long and sometimes in extreme circumstances longer than the main queue. We were there last week and queued over an hour for BTM in the disabled queue.

We found the pass useful for the character meet and greets but as Happy Panda said occasionally the access queue for the rides can be longer than the regular line. We didn't try to use the pass for restaurants so can't help with that sorry. Are you aware that if you have Dla, PIP etc you can also ask for a free carer ticket.

Hi thanks guys no I don’t have Dla or pip ect. Just a letter from doctor stating life long condition and can’t stand for long periods but thanks for the info. Is there a board at disabled entrance telling you how long the wait is, like there is at the main entrance?

They've recently gotten stricter regarding the green passes. You may be offered an orange pass, which is different. There's info online on the official website. X

We realised we were entitled to this too after booking. I actually had the price of my park ticket refunded too as I am classed as our sons carer! We found the ride access pass to be very good and a fair system. We would have struggled without it.

My DD had this as she is pregnant and has a condition which means she uses crutches. As she is pregnant she couldn't do any rides except it's a small world. However she got preferred places for the evening shows and we could accompany her. Everyone was very nice to her. However, my only disappointment was yesterday when we were at the stunt car show. The CMs could see her limited walking ability and didn't point her towards the wheelchair ramp thus making her climb the steps which took her a while. We followed the wheelchair users out because the crowds were pushing down the stairs. The CMs were not overly bothered. I knew that I was in France!
