If you don't mind a 15 min drive or an uber there are some lovely independant places to eat in Altrincham.

The market hall won an observer good food award, it's open tue-sun and you can't reserve a table but it's a great place. Lots of different stalls and free for all seating in the middle, opens till 10am. They also do some out of this world brownies, have a google and look on trip advisor
