Quick service meal plan
Hi I am booked staying at a disney hotel and have the quick service meal plan included as part of the package. My question is do we get given something to say that we are X amount of adults and X amount of children? Ensuring that we only order from the correct menu for the child's age? I am trying to understand the best way to use the plan and work out what sort of budget I will need on top for additional food? Finally, am I right in thinking with this plan I don't need to book at the places we are allowed to eat at, we just turn up, order and find a table?
Thank you in advance for your help x |

No you won't be given anything. Each time you order, you'll get a receipt that tells you at the bottom how many adult and child credits you have remaining.
You can't book quick service meals, except for Be Our Guest for breakfast and lunch.

On the qsdp child and adult credits are the same, so you can order whatever you like from the menus. The only exception we've come across is Wolfgang Puck Express which isn't owned by Disney, but does participate in the dining plan.
The portions can be pretty big, so we often share meals (2 adults and 2 teenagers). Believe me, it's more food than it looks on paper! We don't budget any money for extra food as we don't need it. We take some of the small variety boxes of cereal with us for days when we just want a quick breakfast in our room before heading out, but don't have them every day. This year will be our 5th on a dining plan, and other than buying milk to use on the cereal, we've never spent a single penny on extra food, drinks or snacks. Do some research on snack credits, as they're much more than ice creams, popcorn and cupcakes. Have a look at this thread for some ideas: https://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/sho...ghlight=Snacks This thread is also great if you're new to the plans as it explains them well and explains how to get the best out of them: https://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/sho...d.php?t=873045 The only qs restaurant that you need to book adrs for is if you want breakfast or lunch at Be Our Guest. All of the others you just turn up when you're hungry

You will get a slip of paper at check in that lists how many of each type of credits you have available as a group. You'll also get a dining plan leaflet listing locations. Kids meals will be on a separate part of the menu but the credits can be used for adult or kids meals.
