Thanks for the reply, I might give them a call to book as our youngest daughter has a bad nut allergy so would want to make sure that it is known about and that the buffet items are clearly labeled.

Any advice on which days would be less busy, or are they all going to be packed? We are happy to go any of the days, but thought if we went on the Saturday it would be busier at the park and queues so might be best to book for then if that makes sense?
Any idea how long the meal takes, as I have spoke to friends who went to the Princess lunch last year and they were there for several hours and left without getting desert due to the length of time it took!

Going on the Saturday sounds like a good plan as the parks do tend to be busier at the weekends.

Time-wise with a buffet you can of course control how long you stay at bit easier than table service, but I would say plan a couple of hours to make sure you get to see all the characters. It's not unusual for meals to last that long - they don't rush food in France!

If your daughter is very sensitive to nut content, I’d be wary of eating in a buffet, in case of cross-contamination. Even if the items are labelled, there’s really no way of knowing if another diner has mixed up the spoons / accidentally dropped one food into another serving dish. Obviously it’s only a small chance, and would only be a tiny amount of cross-contamination, so it depends on how sensitive your daughter’s allergy is to tiny amounts of nuts, and how bad her reaction could be if there are nuts present.

If you want character dining I would advise getting it booked sooner rather than later. You can book online via the Dutch version of the Disneyland website, just open the link in google chrome and it will auto translate it to English for you.

In terms of which character dining then Inventions tends to be best if you want to meet the 'traditional' characters (Mickey and the gang). If you want to meet Princesses then the lunch at ADC is the one to go for.

These links should help.

To book a table at Inventions:

OMG! Thank you ever so much for posting the Dutch link! Just managed to get 2 reservations without having to phone up. Brilliant! Sarah

Sunday lunch is ‘brunch’ and a lot more expensive as there is a theme and specific characters and outfits.
