We ate at Cowfish for the first time last year too, and really loved it - the food was so good, and they did a yuzu milkshake that was to die for! Yuzu (in case you don't know) is an oriental citrus fruit, (a bit like a lemon fell in love with a grapefruit and they had babies), and then when it is used for drinks, honey is added to sweeten it a little. I absolutely adore the flavour of anything made with yuzu, but it is so rare to find it anywhere that I was over the moon last year to find something in Cowfish!

My hubby made me go on The Mummy ride last year, he loved it on his first ride and said to me, "give it a go, it's a bit like Big Thunder Mountain". I'm a chicken and don't do big scary rides, but I TRUSTED HIM! Big mistake, I nearly screamed up a lung!

Looking forward to the rest of your report, thanks for taking the time to write this, your girls are gorgeous.
It's such a lovely hotel, isn't it! Ooh that Yuzu milkshake sounds gorgeous! I've only ever tried a yuzu panna cotta and that was lovely.

Oh dear, naughty hubby! it's definitely scarier than BTMR!

Aww thank you for your lovely comments x

It was average, I wouldn't say it was as busy as I've seen Disney. They are a total bargain! x

Ooh love those tankards, the copper ones? I saw them at Tesco! TFR x

I loved the Jimmy Fallon ride too but I know quite a lot of people seem to be meh about it .

The last I heard, the ET ride is safe indefinitely because Steven Spielberg won’t let them close it. He obviously has such a big influence in the park with his IPs / helping design the place so what he says goes. Even with Nintendo Land coming, I believe there’s no talk of closing ET in the near future. So our childhood memories are safe .

We also got dragged into one of those surveys at Universal a few years ago, and it took ages. Good to be able to give opinions, like you said, but giving up so much of your precious holiday time surely warrants a free Coke or ice cream or something?

And I agree with you, soft toys are overpriced at Uni, and so are the hotel cocktails .

Thanks for sharing, looking forward to reading more x.
It's a great perk! I love doing it that way round too.

Oh that's weird about people not liking Jimmy Fallon ride, I'm glad you agree with me!

That's so awesome about E.T I had no idea! Good on you, Mr Spielberg!

Yes, exactly! An ice cream would've been the perfect reward for all of that valuable intel!

Yep and yep totally overpriced

Thanks for reading and commenting x

As moosha said above...E.T isn't going anywhere as Spielberg won't let them close it, so even if the surrounding areas go that ride will still be there!

By MIB they are always playing 90s R'n'B, especially Nelly and Ja Rule

The chicken and waffle sandwich is my favourite quick service. Yum!
So pleased to hear that about E.T! Good on you, Mr Spielberg! Haha yes Ja Rule and Nelly definitely made an appearance.

Thanks for reading and commenting x

Lovely to see how excited the girls are to start the trip.

It was a great idea to start your trip at Universal, slightly more laid back than Disney!

Really enjoyed this day, we haven't been to Universal since our son was 20 months and he's 10 next week. We only lasted a couple of hours on that trip, as he was sick (sorry probably tmi) and we never went back. Looking forward to it this summer though and your lovely day has me excited for our trip.
