Moving the dates of a Virgin Holiday booking
Hi All,
We’ve currently booked for November 2019 with Virgin Holidays. It looks like we may need to move it to the following year. Has anyone had any experience with changing the dates of a Virgin holiday? How Much hassle was it and what sort of costs were involved Thanks in advance.

I moved our Virgin flights after a member of our family passed away 2 days before we were due to depart. Virgin were fantastic with us. I phoned to simply tell them we would not be using our flights and Virgin asked if we would lime to move the flights and still go some other time. They said don't claim through your insurance if you still want to travel and to there word we did go to Orlando later on and even though the flight prices were higher they simply just booked us on the flights we asked for. Brilliant Virgin were.

Thanks for your reply, and sorry to hear of your loss.
We may have to move for less important work reasons but I’ll still give them a call to see what they say. Thanks again for the reply

We moved our last holiday as my first grandchild was due to be born while we would have been away. Virgin were really helpful and moved the booking to 6 weeks later, we did not have to pay any amendment fees as the new booking cost more than our original one.

Thank you for the feedback. Hopefully it won’t come down to having to change it but I need to make sure I can sort something. With the free dining and probably having to change it to the following year, I’m guessing I need to wait until next years free dining deal is out to change?

We had a free nights offer when we booked and had added on the dining plan to our booking. I think we might have ended up paying extra for a room upgrade to what we had originally booked as none of that room type was now available, it might be worth waiting to see if the free dining deal is released this year before changing the booking.
