Just going in to tell boss I have a new job. So nervous!

I am just about to go in to tell my line manager I've just accepted a new job. Feel terrible as I've only been in the position for 5 weeks, but this opportunity is just too good to pass up. Feeling so so nervous though about telling my department I'm leaving. Wish me luck...

Congratulations! You have to do what’s best for you . Hoping some luck comes my way soon! Current job not as advertised (again!) and the day I started my line manager said “I’d really hoped it wasn’t you when I saw your name... you won’t want this”. And he’s right! (He knows me from a previous role a few years ago). Good old generic interview and then place them in a team depending on their start date, not their abilities!

Thanks all! Just did it, wasn't as bad as I thought it might be but I was still shaking coming out. It's a shame but I just didn't click with the job. Thought crying on my first day was just new starter blues but the feeling just carried on.

Been courteous and offered them five weeks notice, as I'm off to WDW next week as feel bad the'd only get me for a week once I get back.

Sometimes you just know. I’ve had a rough few years with my main jobs. I’m on the hunt again. I’ve found one I would LOVE but I’m still waiting to hear if I have an interview.

So glad it went ok! It’s always daunting.

I’m just over 5 months into a new job too and it’s really not all I thought and training has been none existent, I applied for two new roles last week. As well did another new person. So you are not the only one!
