Mobile Son turns 3 few days before we fly home?

Planning a easter 2019 trip! A know its very early but trying to work out budgets. My son is 3 april 16th and we fly home 19th does that mean we have to get him park tickets? Haven't quiet decided if we are doing all disney or a split stay as of yet. Can anyone help. Xx

I think it applies to the first day of use, as he's 2 when you first enter the park you should be ok.

If you're booking a package with Disney they now go off the age on departure even if you're not buying flights. I had to get them to agree no charge for my 2 year old next year(obviously this means she doesn't get any dining credits) as the rules have changed.

I believe if you're buying ticket only though if you've visited before he's 3 then he doesn't need a ticket.

As above. Disney use the age on first day of use so if he’s 2 on your first day at Disney then he does not need tickets.

We took our kids when the youngest was 18m (obv no tickets) and again when she turned 3 while we were away. We did buy her a ticket in the end as we had the DDP (getting her her own ticket automatically got her her own DDP credits) and wanted her to have her own meals (she’s very fussy and none of us wanted to be restricted by her choices!) however we didn’t need to do that.
