Just back from another brilliant DLP trip!

Back last night from another fab trip! Weather was hot hot hot but manageable. We went out early in the mornings & took a break 3 out of the 4 afternoons we had there to go swimming in the NPB outdoor pool which was fab!
The magic started for us when we went into city hall on our first morning to pick up a birthday badge for my daughter. The cast member spoke to her & asked her would she like a phone call from the main mouse himself & she was so impressed with my daughters lovely chat & manners that she gave her a ‘little touch of magic’ which was a receipt with an autograph book & a key ring of her choice ticked on it & she could pick them both up in any of the stores on Main Street or world of Disney. She was so pleased & couldn’t believe it!
We Watched the parade & fireworks once as we’ve seen it lots of times & I loved the new jungle jive show at the castle stage & the lion king show! This was one of my daughters highlights as it was her birthday & a lovely cast member spotted her badge on the way in & just before the show started came & took her right up to the front of the stage & got everyone to sing happy birthday! She was so chuffed bless! And this was just after Mickey doing the same at his meet & greet! She won’t forget this birthday in a hurry!
Another highlight was when we where walking from discoveryland into fantasyland Minnie was coming off duty & spotted my son as he uses a cane & came running over to him & stopped to give him a hug & pics. The 2 helpers moved the hoards of people away as they were trying to get near her for autographs & pics & my son felt like a VIP!
Such special moments. The magic is definitely in DLP & that’s why we love it! Roll on December till I’m back again! ❤️

Just seems to get better every visit!

Looks like you had a fab time. We returned home yesterday. Got home to our house at 6pm tonight (stayed at Whitstable for the night) but was a horrible drive back. I drove the entire journey for the first time and found France ok, the roundabouts did not defeat me haha. We had a lovely time and the lion king show was fab! They've done a great job with this festival. We have no idea when we are actually going back, mam wants to do a girly trip 2020/21 for my eldest's 18th but we supposedly saving for WDW in 2022. Will have to see what deal I can get.

I’ve a trip in December with my sister & our 2 daughters. We’re sharing the price of the hotel staying on SL with free dining & it worked out about £400 each fir 3 nights. This will be my last visit until 2021 as we’re going to WDW next year for Star Wars big fans here! So can only do that one trip next year. It’ll kill me missing my beloved DLP.

Looks like you had a great time, how did you find Newport Bay compared to SL?
Was looking at booking for next summer 2020, would like to try Compass club after three times at Golden Forest, which we loved.

Easter. Been many times, but not at that time of year. Tied to school holidays for another two years yet.

We love both hotels! I would go for NPB for summer though we had a standard room with a balcony to the back & the meal plan, the breakfast was the best we’ve had & ive stayed in a golden forest room too. Even though it’s a wee bit further to walk we didn’t mind this at all. The last time I stayed here you could cut round by McDonald’s but that way is closed now.
Also the outdoor pool is bigger than SL & we needed this as it was so warm!

Easter’s fine. We went Easter Monday in 2017 for 4 nights & as the week went on it got quieter think the Paris area schools start back in the 2nd week.
