It’s generally illiterate and actually, I’m fairly intelligent. Honest! 😉
I do the same with texts.
Luckily my friends can generally crack the code 😆

It’s never wise to make assumptions
This is me lol...

I always find it awkward when someone brings up spelling and grammar and it says a lot more about them than it does the person they have said it to.
People really need to think before they type (and not about their grammar lol)
I hope this has been a thought provoking post and we all think about anything we post and ow it may affect another person. I have actually started posting much less recently as I always worry that someone will find something to say negatively towards my post and also I worry that my written words will be taken out of context and cause offence.

I used to be able to spell, correctly use punctuation and grammar and write nicely. Age and technology have meant I am not as good at any of it now.

Interestingly if you look at the forum rules the first post after the rules is from February 2013 which states

This pleases me. I feel there has been a lot of negativity and attacking on here lately

Don't think things have changed that much over the years. The problem from my point of view is that the moment you have contraversal subjects around politics then its far more a matter of people posting opinons which won't change, rather than a thread around say restaurants on ID where people are looking for suggestions based on peoples opinions.

I'm not certain that anyone has ever changed their political views based on a thread on the Dibb. The same people go back and forward disagreeing with each other. I am guility of that at times. Decided now to stay away from those threads. I come on here for holiday advice not topical debate.

I am the opposite. I tend to keep my posts short and think I probably come across as snippy sometimes.

I like to think that my nickname at work is Mary Poppins because I'm practically perfect in every way. Unfortunately though it's due to the fact I'm known to sing Just a Spoonful of Sugar as I go round with my medication trolley😂😂😂.

Some people are just petty. Appealing to their better nature rarely works. Even if it does it isn't for long.

My advice - laugh them off, at least you're not them. Or as I do on twitter, tell them to &£%\ off

Absolutely YT, there really is no need for personal attacks.
Life is tough enough without having to be worried about coming on here and voicing an opinion to only be shot down because of the way you spell it.

I agree with mr Tom... I love the old posts... should I ... or shouldn’t I’s 😊😊
