We have done villa and Disney hotel now. This year will be second time on site. Next time I think I would try split stay. Disney hotel and dibb villa.

We have always stayed in a hotel, often a suite.

For the first few trips there was just the two of us, so a villa seemed a bit overkill. Even now there's only 3 of us so we usually fit quite nicely in a hotel room. And a hotel means all the cleaning, vacuuming, bedmaking (etc) is done for us.

Hotel every time, we always go for a 2 bedroom suite
It has the space of a Villa plus the benefits of a huge pool are and bars etc

Been a Villa everybody time but trying split stay this time 1 week Disney hotel and 1 week Villa,
Bit nervous about hotel as usually just cope with 1 night with 4 in one room, but kids older and we may be converted after this!,!,

Villa for the 3 of us and an even larger one when extended family travels with us.

Just back from a villa stay again and we had 1 night at Cabana Bay, although nice, huge amounts of kids running around wild with no parents in sight (or just didn’t care) and adults smoking on all exits and walkways wasn’t for us. plus grumpy pre-teen and parents all in one room for more than a day or so would not be enjoyable for us, we all like our own space 🙂

Villa for definite. Own pool, own space (and easily accessible washing machine and more than one bathroom usually!). We love having our own space and not cramped in one room.

Depends on the group but my Aunt and Uncle are currently visiting with their son, DIL and GS. For $150 a night they have a villa with more bedrooms than they need, seperate bathrooms, and loads of space for us to join them for a takeaway when they arrived. The 6 foot tall 13 year old also gets to sleep on a queen size bed instead of making do on a sofa bed or having to share a room with his parents.
